Bids will be received up until 10:00 am prevailing time, on April 7, 2021, at the Board of Education Offices located at 42 North Hillside Avenue, Succasunna, New Jersey 07876. Immediately thereafter, bids will then be opened in public by the Business Administrator for the Roxbury Board of Education at the adjacent Lincoln-Roosevelt School Auditorium. Bids shall NOT be sent to the Lincoln-Roosevelt School; all bids must be delivered to the Board of Education Offices before 10:00 am on April 7, 2021
This project consists of the removal, replacement and installation of a new elevator, hoistway, equipment, and all associated work as shown on the drawings and as specified, etc. at Roxbury High School. All necessary bid specifications and bid forms may be secured upon written request to the Architect, FKA Architects, 306 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ by sending an email to info@fkarch.com, by calling FKA Architects at 201-644-0505 x200, or online at www.fkarch.com.
Plans may NOT be picked up in person. Electronic versions of the plans and specifications may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 CERTIFIED CHECK, CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.
No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement. (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(b)). The Board of Education does not accept electronic (e-mail) submission of bids.
“Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.”
All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Joseph Mondanaro, Business Administrator, with the name of the project, “Roxbury High School Elevator Replacement Project” plainly marked on the front of the envelope.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to Roxbury Board of Education or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00.
Statement of Ownership Requirement: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, Bidders shall submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership.
A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be submitted with the bid. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms, may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid.
The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-2(s), (t), (x), (y), 18A:18A-4(a), 18A:18A-22, and to waive any informalities.
The Roxbury Township Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Morris Hills Regional District Board of Education.
