Notice is hereby given that the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education will be receiving sealed bids at the board offices located at 28 West Grand Avenue, Suite 2, Montvale, NJ 07645, for the Restroom Renovation Project at Pascack Valley High School and Pascack Hills High School.
The project generally consists of renovations to the existing restrooms at both Pascack Valley and Pascack Hills High Schools. The work includes, but is not limited to:
- Removal and replacement of all existing finishes, fixtures, accessories, devices, etc. at 5 restrooms (2 at Pascack Valley and 3 at Pascack Hills).
- All other work for a complete installation and as shown on the drawings and specified herein.
A Pre-Bid Meeting has been scheduled for March 28, 2023 at 3:30 pm at Pascack Hills High School (Lobby), 225 West Grand Avenue, Montvale, NJ 07645
A copy of the bid instructions, bid forms and specifications Plans may NOT be picked up in person. Electronic versions of the plans and specifications are available from the office of the Architect beginning on March 23, 2023. All necessary bid specifications and bid forms may be secured upon written request to FKA Architects, 306 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ by sending an email to info@fkarch.com, by calling FKA Architects at 201-644-0505, or online at www.fkarch.com.
All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Mr. Yas Usami, Business Administrator/Board Secretary at the Pascack Valley Board of Education Offices, 28 West Grand Avenue, Suite 2, Montvale, NJ 07645, with the name of the project, “Restroom Renovation Project at Pascack Valley High School and Pascack Hills High School”, plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00.
All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subcontractors.
All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., “The Law Against Discrimination” and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours.
No bidder who is on the State Treasurer’s or the Federal Government’s List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project.
Bids must be submitted to the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education no later than 10 o’clock am on April 12, 2023. All bids will be opened and read to the public at that time by the School Business Administrator at the board offices. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids.
The Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education.
