Notice is hereby given that the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education will be receiving sealed bids at the board offices located at 28 West Grand Avenue, Suite 2, Montvale, NJ 07645, for the Milestones Renovation Project.
The project generally consists of a renovation of the building that partially serves as the Milestones Program for the District. The existing building is a two-story building, which contains the Milestone program on the first floor and will be expanding the program to the second floor. The work includes, but is not limited to:
- Construct a new, accessible exterior ramp to the front porch
- Modify the interior stairway to incorporate fire rated doors
- Renovate the second-floor kitchen to include a new stove and microwave
- Second Floor bathroom will remain as is except the existing tub will be removed and converted to a closet
- Minor renovations on the first floor, involving removal of a partial wall and refinishing the hardwood floors
A Pre-Bid Meeting has been scheduled for May 14, 2025 at 3:30 pm at the Milestones Building, 63 Patterson Street, Hillsdale, NJ.
A copy of the bid instructions, bid forms and specifications Plans may NOT be picked up in person. Electronic versions of the plans and specifications are available from the office of the Architect. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Ms. Cynthia Kirk, Assistant Business Administrator at 28 West Grand Avenue, Suite 2, Montvale, NJ 07645, with the name of the project, “Milestones Renovation Project” plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00.
All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subcontractors.
All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., “The Law Against Discrimination” and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours.
No bidder who is on the State Treasurer’s or the Federal Government’s List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project.
Bids must be submitted to the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education no later than 10 o’clock am on July 8, 2025. All bids will be opened and read to the public at that time by the School Business Administrator at the board offices. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days from the opening of the bids.
The Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education.
